Finding a decent job that pays well is hard to find these days that’s why this woman resulted to stealing. In a video that has gone viral by Barangay Captain Gary Bacos of Imus, Cavite, a woman was shown sitting and seemingly embarrassed. She stole some foods and Gary Bacos is willingly giving her rice and sardines to tell her that she shouldn’t steal anymore. He tells the burglar that he is giving her some food to help her start a new life and lectures her that she shouldn’t steal anymore.
He gives her many kilos of rice as well as a lot of sardines because he is hoping that the woman will change and just find a job that will sustain her family and herself. He even tells her that he is going to drop her off at her barangay because he wants to make sure that she is safe. He also added that where can she find a place like his office wherein instead of putting her in prison, she is being helped with foods to take home and just a lecture to change her ways.
This good idea by the barangay chairman is a click with netizens because he is able to help while motivating people with petty crimes to face their problems and change their lives for the better. It may not help with all their needs but the gesture is help enough to let them start a new life where they can get decent job so that their families won’t be affected too. Other Barangay Captain Gary Bacos should follow his initiative to see if this can be a fruitful campaign in stopping petty crimes like stealing.
