Alcohol and coffee graces the tables of millions of people worldwide. It’s a well loved drink that most cannot live without. Some say that both are not good for the health but did you know that there are also studies that show both as having health benefits? Studies show that drinking alcohol in moderation offers some benefits like prolonging life. Coffee, on the other hand, also has the same health benefit of making you live longer when you drink it every morning.

A study by the UC Irvine Institute for Memory Impairments and Neurological Disorders in California shows that there is a way to healthy aging at 90+ years old. Positive lifestyle choices are one of those. They studied more than 1,600 participants wherein they did neurological and neuropsychological tests to see the performances of the participants. They asked about the lifestyle choices of the participants which include diet, activities, medications (if any), medical history and other lifestyle activities that may influence aging. The results are astounding! People who drank alcohol and coffee in moderate proportions actually live longer than those who don’t!

The study shows and suggests that to live longer you must do it in moderation otherwise you also run the risk of getting sick. Two glasses of wine is enough, they say as well as 2 bottle of beer. You can also consume moderate amount of coffee each day to live longer. There are no reports; however as to why alcohol and coffee can make you live longer but many will be happy about this as these two are two of the most favorite drink in the whole world.
