Dante Varona is known as the King of Stunts. He was a famous movie star in year 1970 to 1980. This is the timeline of his career life.

The most popular genre of TV films in 70s was action movie. Some popular action stars by that time were Joseph Estrada, Ramon Revilla, Fernando Poe, Jr., Jun Aristorenas, Jess Lapid, Bembol Roco, Bernard Bonnin, Jess Lapid, Ramon Zamora, Rhene Imperial, Baldo Marro, Tony Ferrer, Anthony Alonzo, Ace Vergel, and Rudy Fernandez.

One of the successful action stars was Dante who landed his first movie Mangificent Siete Bandidas in 1968. According to Spot.ph, Dante is the model of a real action star. He has the physical characteristics of a King of Stunts, which are muscular body, facial hair, and brown skin.

The most memorable stunt of Dante was back in 1981. During the movie Hari ng Stunt, which was directed by Carlo J. Caparas, Dante was able to jump off the San Juanico bridge. This moment was a make-or-break step for Dante because he was facing challenges in his showbiz career at that time. This epic scene was the reason why Dante earned the title, “King of Stunts”.

 

The death-defying stunt was made to save the career of Dante Varona in the entertainment industry. Unfortunately, that did not work for him. Dante also directed his films like Raging Anger (1984), Ratratan (1999), and Bangkay Mo Akong Hahakbangin (1986).

Dante’s daughter tried to enter a competition called Metropop Songfest, but was not able to win the contest. Pilipino Star Ngayon shared an article saying that Dante’s daughter did a musical concert to help establish her career as a singer. Life will always try to drag you down.
